Common Questions
Q What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A cabling?
Cat6 supports speeds up to 1Gbps at 100 meters and up to 10Gbps at shorter distances (up to 37 meters). Cat6A supports 10Gbps at the full 100-meter channel length and performs better in high-interference environments. For most small and mid-size offices, Cat6 is sufficient. For data-intensive environments or future-proofing, we recommend Cat6A.
Q How long does a typical structured cabling project take?
Most small commercial projects (10–50 drops) are completed in 1–2 days. Larger installations can run 3–10 business days depending on scope, building access, and after-hours requirements. We provide a detailed timeline with every quote.
Q Do you provide a warranty on your installations?
Yes. All labor is warrantied for a minimum of one year. Cable and hardware carry manufacturer warranties of 15–25 years when installed according to spec (which our certification testing confirms). We provide written warranty documentation on every project.
Q Can you work after hours or on weekends to avoid disrupting our business?
Absolutely. Most of our commercial projects are scheduled for evenings or weekends at no additional charge for qualifying projects. We plan around your operational hours so your team experiences minimal disruption.
Q Do you also remove and clean up old cabling?
Yes. We offer cabling removal and cleanup services to clear out legacy or abandoned cable runs. This is often required for compliance, building aesthetics, or before a major renovation. Just let us know during the quoting process.
